Yesterday i went to Warped Tour in Virginia Beach.. soo much fun! We've been going each year for the past 4 years..so it's always a summer "tradition" I suppose you could say. I saw a bunch of really great bands! Let's see.. Jack's Mannequin, Cobra Starship(my favorite! i got to their stage an hour early so I could be super close!), Story of the Year, Gym Class Heroes, and Katy Perry were the ones I really enjoyed. I really like Katy Perry a lot! I remember when I first heard her song "I kissed a girl" on the radio I thought it was kind of stupid, but yet it got stuck in my head and I listened to the rest of her CD, and it's sort of like a guilty pleasure. haha but she's so darn cute that you pretty much have to like her! :)
Soo it was ton of fun. And stopping by the Action for Animals table is always neat too..lots of vegan recipes and stickers and PEOPLE! I really feel like people who pick up the papers from the table that day really do learn something..so that's always good. :)
Oh! and the fudgy wudgy brownies did end up being baked! We froze some of the blueberries from picking, so I just used those in the recipe. They came out really good! My whole family was a bit skeptical of the blueberry and chocolate combo.. but yet my whole family really liked them soo I guess it shows that blueberries are quite scrumptious with chocolate. :)
I did take another..better picture of them but when i was making room on my camera for warped tour, I accidentally deleted it. :( but trust me, they're really good! the tangy-ness of the blueberries really worked well with the chocolate.
And I have to give a really good product review..because it totally deserves it.
The So Delicious Mint Marble Fudge.
I am a huge ice cream fan. I always was before I became vegan..coldstone was like heaven for me. I don't have an icecream maker, so I've purchased a few brands and flavors of vegan ice cream from the store. I've tried Temptation brand's cookie dough, which was pretty good..I've tried lots of flavors from Soy Delicious..and they're all good..but i feel that they all were just kind of icy consistency..I mean a little creamy, but definitely not like what I missed from Coldstone or other ice creams. But this flavor was PERFECT. It was soo creamy and so delicious and I'm really glad it comes in such a big container. So there you have it..soy ice cream that has the perfect creamy consistency. yum!

I love the Warped Tour concerts - they always have the greatest bands featured!! I went a few years ago :0)
I haven't tried that brownie recipe from Veganomicon yet, but your photograph makes me want to try it a.s.a.p.!!
You should try the coconut-milk-based/soy-free ice cream that So Delicious makes - it's TO-DIE-FOR!!
Those brownies look awesome!
Wow your brownies look great, i've been meaning to try that recipe for a while.
I'm so jealous that you got to go to Warped. It never comes anywhere near here! The closest show is always like Chicago (8 hours) or Atlanta (6 hours) or St. Louis (6 hours). Boo! I wanna go...and I also want some of those brownies! Yum-tastic!
I don't think I've ever tried the combo of blueberries and chocolate... how can this be?!
I still haven't tried that recipe even though I loove blueberries and chocolate together, but your look delicious!
I'm like obsessed with that song I Kissed A Girl, it's always stuck in my head. Her CD rocks, its one of only a couple cds where I actually like most of the songs on there.
This post has my name written all over it, haha...Brownies and ice cream are two of my weaknesses :0) I know what you mean about the *icy-consistency* of the ice creams, so I'm glad you gave this new flavor a good review!
I was going to make those brownies! I was curious how they would look. Thanks for the review, I'll definitely bump it up to the top of my "must-make" look.
